Shawa Luangwa Camp is a small tented camp situated on the banks of Zambia’s Luangwa River. In a spot handpicked by the legendary guide, Jacob Shawa, the camp has a strong focus on guiding, sustainability and they are real pioneers of silent safaris – using electric Land Cruisers to explore this sensitive ecosystem gently and quietly. Here travellers can explore African wildlife with a huge variety of animal species, get to observe their lifestyle and natural habitat.

Community interactions:
- Project Luangwa representatives give guided tours of some of the initiatives they have created to empower, educate, and protect the Luangwa area and communities. They would show one of their secondary schools, where you can meet teachers and students and learn a little about what it is like to live in the Luangwa National Park
- Work with community and conservation partners in the protection of the wildlife and habitats of the South Luangwa ecosystem
