The Jazz Bar

The Jazz Bar at Fairmont Peace Hotel on the Bund is the only address in China for legendary jazz, carrying guests instantly back to the private clubs of the 20’s and 30’s with their comfortable and authentic décor. The menu is tailored for easy eating snacks, featuring European and local dishes, and a timeless cocktail list inspired by what was on offer in the 1920’s and 1930’s. The current Old Jazz Band is made up of six veteran musicians whose average age is 82. They have drawn an audience for decades of locals, international travelers, celebrities and heads of state such as former US Presidents Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan. The table, food, drink and cigar preferences of each guest are memorized to create the feeling of a private club for returning guests.
